It seems easier somehow to find an REO house already empty.  You can call the locksmith, change the locks and proceed trying to get it ready to market.  I found one the other day, the locksmith came quickly and secured it.

Back in my office while giving me the bill, he kept scratching.  He had picked up fleas in the house and he couldn't wait to get home to do his strip search.  A neighbor told us that the owner had three cats inside.  He also said she hadn't been moved long and he'd helped her move. 

That was Friday so it was Monday before I could get the exterminator over there.  He groaned.  "Oh, it's hard to get rid of fleas.  It may take several treatments."  I didn't believe him.  On Thursday he thought I might be able to get in for photos.  The floor was still wet with spray but I got the pictures.

Today, several days later, I went back inside.  I tread softly and carefully and sure nuff, they were still there!  Little ones probably just hatched.  Plus big ones that had escaped what should have been sure death.  I called the exterminator and told him he has to get back over there.

This is the first flea-ridden house that I've had in years.  I can't figure out how a family could live in a house with so many fleas and I can't figure out why it is so hard to get rid of them. 

I do know that I don't like having them appear on my face or neck while I'm visiting with a client.  It somehow is just not ladylike to reach up and pick a flea off your cheek and crush him in front of your visitor.  Worse yet is to pick him off and then lose him and you know he's still in your office or your car!!
