Curb Appeal

By
Home Stager with Interior Redesign-Design, Home Staging & Holiday Decorating

Staging is not just for the interior of the home, so many sellers don't think about the exterior of the home. Curb appeal is an emotional connection for the buyer driving by. Does your home have curb appeal? When a buyer drives by a home they need to visualize there lifestyle. "WOW, honey look at that landscaping"! They need to see themselves working in the yard, spouse lounging underneath a huge shade tree and there children playing.

Did you know that the focal point on a home is the front door? A freshly painted door will add such impact to the curb appeal of the home. It is like the accessories in your living room (the jewelry). Don't forget to clean up around your sidewalk area, front porch, paint shutters and doors if needed, trim bushes, mow the grass, pull weeds, and repot plants in containers if they are dead. Clean up and freshen up makes such a difference. Staging is so important for the interior and exterior of the home.

Creating a new and fresh look is such a small investment. So stage the outside of the home and add the curb appeal that every home deserves. You get the best return for every staging dollar spent.

Tonia,

Curb appeal is so important when selling a house.  It is a welcome mat to the buyer and make the first impression great.

Rosalinda,

Thanks for your comment, and for taking time to read my blog. We love to talk with Realtors and I appreciate your thoughts.  I agree with you 100% that curb appeal is the first impression of the home, and it is the last impression. When I look at homes on the market, I pay attention to the curb appeal when we drive up and it is the last thing I focus on when we drive away.

Thanks again, take care.
