You should be real careful with the Hawthorne Woods development. I have inspected a number of new, large homes in this development and found some significant defects in their construction, structural as well as construction quality.

Sad to see a developer who used to have such a good reputation for quality slide like this.

I am new to the group! I am a Keller Williams Realtor and an LPGA Golf Professional!! I used to live in Libertyville, and taught at the Exmoor CC, in HIghland park. I love combining Real Estate with Golfers! Seems easy to find a BOND with golfing clients! And when they do business with me, I always end up helping them with their golf game.

No offense, Rick, but isn't the quality of the house you are buying more important than the golf course next door.

You can help them with their gold game. What about with their leaking foundation, the bad electrical system and the mold in the attic?

Priorities are important.

Hi William - Of course letting them know about the bad stuff is important... That is what we do everyday for our clients & also referring them to aggressive home inspectors... But many clients have criteria beyond the house sometime. I had one past client who's main criteria was looking for homes that were near a specific type of dance school for their daughter (had to research various dance schools that had that type of dance.)

So - that is why in the initial interview with clients - a lot of questions - even beyond the house - are essential - to really get to know them well...
