9th Annual Open Car Show - on Liberty Square in Sparta - 1st Tennessee Region Vintage Chevrolet Club of America, All Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles thru 2006, Awards for Top 75 plus Directors Choice, Best GM, Best Ford, Best Mopar, Best Orphan/Import, Entries Register 9am to noon CST, door prizes, food and drink available, craft vendors, music.

12th "Coal Miner's Reunion" 1-5:00pm at BonDeCroft Elementary School on Hwy 70 East of Sparta. Community History Project for the School includes mining photographs, memorabilia, slide show, auto tour, video taping along with history of the BonDeCroft Elementary School.

Farmers Market open Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday from 7:00 am-until, in Metcalf Parking Area at Liberty Square and Maple Street near the White County Courthouse just off Hwy 70(Bockman Way) local farmers with fresh produce by the truck load just for you. Contact: UT Extension office at 931-836-3348

The Sonic Cruise In and Sock Hop- Step back into the 50's at the Cruise In with the
"Four on the Floor Concert and Sock Hop". The Good Time Cruisers invite you to show
your vintage car or enjoy the exhibit. Get out your poodle skirts and join in the dance
and costume contests while walking, strolling, and twisting down memory lane.
