Hello again everyone!

Its been awhile since I have last blogged here on ActiveRain. I love this community and I miss coming here to share my thoughts and ideas about the business and to see what other people are doing to remain successful in these hard times. Of course with everything hitting this industry right now there is no shortage of topics to wirte about.

I have not been here in a little while because I have not had any spare time to sit down and post a blog... I have been working like crazy and I have had some personal issues that I have been dealing with while not at work.

Anyway, I just wanted to come here and say hello; let everyone know that I am still alive and sticking this business cycle out; an ice breaker. I will be back shortly to write some more blogs on the industry and my experiences.

Thank you all for the help that you have given me in the past and I look forward to many more great discussions here in the rain

No doubt sales are slow. Seems the only thing selling are the ones that are priced low enough.

John - Without a doubt; for a while I felt quite sheltered in the small northern New York region that is my primary market area. However, I have even been feeling the pinch up here lately and that is saying a lot. In this region things usually pick up much slower with regard to the economy when compared to the rest of the nation but things also slow down much slower. There have been hard times for the economy as a whole back in the very early 90's and then again in 2000 - 2001. During those periods we were never affected in this region because those problems with the economy had already corrected themselves before the turmoil had a chance to make its way up here... That is not the case this time. To see real estate sales reduce as much as they have and to see the local economy suffering the way that it is I am quite convinced that this nation is in for a very rude awakening.

Kieth - I have had a chance to look around and I am quite impressed with the growth and new features that have been added. Active Rain is a wonderful community and I do plan to reintergrate it into my business the way that I had been before I left and so much more. Thank you for the warm welcome back. Thank you and have a fantastic evening... and year!!

Paul - Glad to be back. Thank you! And I will got get em; I have a whole new system in place to crush my local competition and to create several streams of revenue to pick up for the slack in the mortgage end of things. I am doing quite well with my year over year numbers and that gives me a lot of confidence going forward given how difficult this market is. I am not sure if we will see stablization in 09 or not but regardless I am here for the long haul:). Thanks again and best wishes to you!
