Forest Lakes Subdivision -  Forest, Virginia

History

In 1979, 259 acres of open field and forest were purchased with the intent of forming a new residential community outside of Lynchburg, Virginia. In 1984, Lake Vista was founded as a premiere planned community. In the early 1990's,  Forest Lakes was developed from a portion of the original Lake Vista property.

The neighborhood consists of single family homes. There is one lake located within the subdivision, Swan Lake. Amenities include walking paths, tennis courts, play ground, club house and pool. Forest Lakes has a swim team and many meets are held at the community pool.
