La Jolla! They are among many of the celebrities, politicians, writers and others who own or have owned homes in La Jolla. Recently it was revealed that John McCain's wife Cindy owns a condo in La Jolla Shores and two oceanfront condos in Coronado.
The writer, Anne Rice,
a best selling author, sold her home overlooking the village of La Jolla in 2005 and moved to Rancho Mirage.
Dr. Seuss,
a famous children's book author, was a long-time La Jolla resident until he died in 1991.
Tony Robbins,
the motivational speaker, owned a home in La Jolla Farms until he moved to Arnold Palmer's Tradition Golf Club in La Quinta.
Dr. Jonas Salk
founded the La Jolla-based Salk Institute and lived in La Jolla until his death in 1995.
In the past few months, Mitt Romney,
purchased an oceanfront home in La Jolla. If John McCain chooses Mitt Romney as his Vice Presidential running mate and they are elected, would San Diego then become home to the "Western White House" with both leaders here?
Over the years, there have been many celebrities that have called La Jolla home, or have visited our California coastal town in San Diego. We welcome them to our close-knit community, with our mild Mediterranean-style climate, balmy ocean breezes, miles of sandy beaches and quaint village ambiance.

LaJolla is so beautiful! One of my favorite places in the country! (Besides Naples, Fl of course!)
