Sally Cheeseman

About a week and a half ago I was at the office and  I get a call on my cellular.Hmm...long distance. Bet it's a telemarketer. Hit ignore. The office phone rings and she asks for ... ME. Wouldn't you know it was her calling on my cellular hahaha!  Her husband came back from Iraq and saw my sites all over the internet so they called me. They are Military Relocating to Hawaii in December.

Talk about PRO ACTIVE in their search for a home! We now have an accepted contract (today) and they are flying in from California for their home inspection scheduled for Saturday. (and they get to see Hawaii for the first time in their lives!)

In communities such as the one my clients chose there are maintenance fees.It is a single family home but within a condo ownership association. I spoke with the on-site manager this morning because I wanted to find out what the maintenance fees take care of.

The maintenance fees take care of:

  • Termite treatment - After the current six year contract is up with the liquid treatment they're moving on to the Sentricon System.
  • Community Pool(and the on-site manager says it's the best in the area :)
  • Recreation Center
  • Parks and landscaping around the community
  • Bulk of the homeowners insurance (just like condos ...get insurance for the inside of the home)
  • Roads and street lights within the community
  • Water
  • Sewer

The Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii area has grown tremendously since developers starting building new homes starting from the early 1990's.  Located on our Southwestern shore of Oahu, the Ewa Beach area has beaches(One'ula and Ewa Beach Park), surfing spots, parks, golf courses, recreation centers and shopping centersto accommodate the still growing community.

If you are Military Relocating to HawaiiRelocating due to a job changeRetiring to paradise, or just a change in lifestyle you'll find that you will get more bang for your buck in the Ewa Gentry areas.

Sally, you know, I just can't imagine living in a place year round where you can walk out your door and walk to the beach.  Wow!

Woo Hoo, Aren't those just the best calls, when they have the fortitude to reach you one way or another. It clearly indicates they knew who they wanted to work with and it is excellent testimony on the job you are doing. Well done and Congratulations on another one.

Patricia: Or at least only a few minutes drive lol!

Neal: You folks have more sq. ft.  It's a known fact for as long as I've been reading everyones posts :)  Our 2700 sq. ft. is the one that's almost 800k.

William: I love it...they are the nicest people (and just like you and me William...when I meet them face to face on Friday I just know it'll be like when we talk on the phone)  I sent them this post too. :)

Sally,  They bought sight unseen? WoW, now that's having confidence in your REALTOR. This has happened to me once in my career....I sold a home to some folks from England and they bought it without even seeing it other than in pictures online.

Congrats to them on finding a home so quickly and in such a beautiful area and to you for doing such a wonderful job for them!

Sally, I love it when transactions go like this. I sold a home sight unseen, and never even met the clients because they were on the other side of the valley. When I took them their closing gift, they were not there. But they just trusted in me...how cool is that? ;-)

Jo: Well, they looked at pics online and I went out yesterday to video and take pics...turned out really nice.

Teri: There will be only a few instances where the clients and I connect like this. These are the kinds of clients that remain lifelong friends.....

You Go Girl. I love those kind of calls. They just make my day no matter what, (if they end up buying or not). Obviously they would really make my day if they end up buying a home. Best of luck my friend.

I get all my calls on my cell phone. Even if customers call the office, it gets forwarded to my cell phone...since I'm never in the office. I work from home. But this community looks nice. Ii like the photo. And your statistics are much better than ours!

Sally - These are some very reasonable prices, Las Vegas prices 2 years ago for similar Square footage. You mean to tell me I can get into a home/ condo for the same as what it would cost me in Vegas?    Quick, grab a pen where do I sign?

Morning Sally,

Congratulations on the sale and upcoming closing. Having a client buy a property without seeing it first would be a new experience for me.

Glad to see your market is still active.

Sally, It sounds like a lovely area (I don't believe there could possibly be any bad areas in Hawaii) and I'm thrilled for you---and the lucky clients that found you!  How brave of them to make a move without having first visited---but they will love it!
