So here's the deal. Did you know that all Realtors are not equal? When looking to buy or sell
a home, your Realtor will either make your experience great or not so great. Most Realtors are
independent contractors who operate their business in their own way.
Make a list of qualities you expect from them and don't just assume all Realtors do the same thing.
Trust me, they don't!
Did you know there are Realtors who really don't use email, at all? There are Realtors who
still use a recipe box to hold their names of clients and contacts. There are Realtors who don't promote
properties on their website, because they don't have one.
I'm not trying to be negative or disrespectful at all. Many of these agents are the seasoned ones.
They believe that their success will come just as it did when they started 30 years ago.
But what about a relatively new Realtor? Would that be a good choice? For the same price you can
have Realtor with 10-30 years of good experience. Most Real Estate markets have changed over the past
few years. Even Realtors are having a hard time understanding their market. Shouldn't you choose a
Realtor who has a high number of sales in this kind of market?
What's my advice to you? Remember that 80-90% of real estate is sold by 10-20% of the Realtors.
Wow! This would be what you'd want to ask. Current success means current knowledge. Not an old
member of the million dollar club! Be choosy! There are really great Realtors out there who care about
you and your best interest. It's not that hard to find one....just ask the right questions!
