Carolina Raptor Center
We are truly blessed to have Carolina Raptor Center in our backyard in Huntersville right outside of Charlotte, NC. This center is incredible with its dedication to environmental education and the conservation of birds of prey through public education, the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned raptors and research.
Their environmental education programs reach about 40,000 students each year.
Raptors are leading scientific indicators of a healthy environment.

Backyard Tails -- a free flight program!
August 30, 2008 - Noon and 2:00 PM
Feel the rush as a great horned owl flies inches from your head during Carolina Raptor Center's free flight program!! Be amazed by raptors in the air and trees during Backyard Tails. Come early to get a space, as seats for this program are limited.
This program is free with regular admission.
Weathering Program: Habitat, where are they at?

Raptors live in trees, on cliffs, in bird houses, in hollowed out trees, and even on the ground. Find out where raptors live, how long they stay there and if they like roommates!
