Every since I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, I have been dealing with the issues of squirrels. I have never seen so many of them in one place. The come after the bird feeders, after the humming bird feeds, after my vegetables in the garden, and worst of all, they are eating the sun flowers. So, after I had enough, I want to know how to get rid of them.

Now, for those that know me, I love animals. With that said, I could never do anything to harm an animal unless it was going to harm me or a family member or pet. Then the gloves come off. Fortunately, this is not one of those situations, so I just had to find a good squirrel trap.

Well, as much as I am on the net all day, I came across HavaHart. This is probably one of the best ideas as it is eco friendly. Instead of having a trap that will be harmful to the animal you have one that will allow for you to do a catch and release. This is great for animals thataccidentally get into your house. The trap allows for the animal to go into the cage but not come out. This way, you transport it off of your property and release the animal into the wild. I would recommend releasing them into the woods off the beaten path if possible so that they are not harmed by a vehicle.

HavaHart is not limited to squirrel traps either. You can also find traps for stray cats, possums, raccoons, and even skunks to name a few. All you have to do is check them out on their website today.

Danny, these traps work- we had a property where squirrels were getting into the attic. It's a humane and safe way to remove these critters.

Danny, you know that squirrels are just rats with a good PR agent, don't you? Interestingly, we have the Eastern Grey Squirrel here that everyone thinks is so cute and it isn't even a native.

Debbie, I am glad I am not the only one that gets harassed by them.

Andy, no problem.

Fred, I think they are just darling.

In Atlanta we had chipmunks too! I know there was always a lot of concern about them damaging a home's foundation.
