DuPont State Forest has 10,000 acres of forestland for recreation and is located in western North Carolina between Hendersonville and Brevard.  There are eighty miles of roads and trails in the forest.  Hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding are allowed on designated trails.  There are also several waterfalls to enjoy.  The forest is registered as North Carolina Game Lands.  Fishing is permitted with a North Carolina Fishing license.  This is an incredibly beautiful area to visit and spend the day exploring the trails and waterfalls.  Unfortunately, no camping is permitted.
