On March 22, 2007, the Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD) awarded 2nd Grade teacher, Josie Boys, the CUSD Elementary Teacher of the Year. After a stint as a child psychologist, Boys decided to change professions and dedicate herself to elementary education. In addition to teaching the bright, smiling faces of her students, Josie Boys is also involved in training her colleagues. She has a Bachelor's degree in child development and a teaching credential from California State University, Fullerton and a Master's degree in Education from California State University, Long Beach.
Jayne Martin is the principal of Oso Grande Elementary and has served CUSD as an elementary principal for the past twelve years. The school was opened in August of 2005.
