This year the fair will include all the usual attractions -- the Norco Baby Pageant,  Miss Norco pageant, the Labor Day parade and bull riding -- as well as a few new events, such as a rodeo showcasing female talent on Thursday night. The fair runs through Monday at Ingalls Park.

Maud Ingalls, a community volunteer whose son George gave Ingalls Park its name, will be the grand marshal of Monday's parade. George Ingalls threw himself on a grenade to save his platoon in Vietnam in 1967 and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor in 1969.

Maud Ingalls was chosen to lead the parade because she exemplifies the fair's theme, "keeping the spirit alive." The parade usually has about 350 entries, and while sign-ups are still open, by Tuesday nearly 200 had been received.

About 100 local young people raised livestock this year that will be shown during the fair and sold at an auction Sunday, Norco FFA adviser Carole Lindsey said.

Everyone is welcome to view the auction and bid on animals, and most money goes to the children who raised the animals, with some set aside for a scholarship fund. Pigs, turkeys, lambs, veal calves and steers will be available, and those who don't want to buy an animal can still help students by adding a donation to someone else's bid, Lindsey said.

The "Norco Baby Pageant" will be held on Saturday, so come on down and vote for my "Honorary Grandson" ~ Wyatt Howell.  He's the cutest baby boy in Norco !!!!!!!! Just ask me !!

 This year's Winner !!! Wyatt

it's in the genes, his big brother, Austin, is a past Winner !!!
