sarah pawlinI'd never actually heard of Sarah Palin until I heard John McCain chose her as his VP choice. I haven't made my decision on who I'll be voting for but I'm not sure this helped McCain in my eyes.

Do you think Americans would feel comfortable with Sarah Palin as our president in the event that John McCain could no longer perform his duties? How does everyone think this will effect McCains chances? I'd like to hear both pros and cons!

Im voting for McCain, I have heard that Alaska really likes her.  I don't care if its male or female in the office, if they can do the job.

That's what I'm asking! I don't care either (man or woman), that's not the question, I'm wondering if people think she could do the job?

I do not know if the decision to ask Ms. Palin to be VP was the best, but I am very uncomfortable with the idea of Obama performing the duties of President. Time will tell.

Hi Jose,

Check out my last blog, where I asked a similar question differently, but I believe McCain had to jumpstart his convention.  She seems original, I'm in the middle until I here more from both VP's.  The comments I got on my blog had various reasons.

With his age at 72 the VP better have more than being mayor of a town of 8000 and one and a half years as govenor !  If McCain had chosen Romney it might have made a difference !

I am going to give her a chance.  On first impression. I like what I see! She started in politics in 1992 and has lot's more experience in the political arena than Barack Obama.

It is Sarah Palin, just FYI.

Going to do some research about her.

Like Bill O'Reilly said today..."I don't care whether she's a woman or a man, I care about RESULTS and SOLUTIONS to our current problems"...the question is can they deliver? Same goes to the other camp!

I agree with Bill; Romney would have been a much better choice. I suspect (don't know for sure, of course) that McCain picked a women because he thought all the Hillary supporters would jump ship and vote for him. I would hope people have more intelligence to vote on the issues and not gender.

I'm an Obama fan. I like his energy and his attitude that anything is possible. He's intelligent and a breath of fresh air. I like his choice for vice president. What Obama lacks in foreign experience, Biden makes up for. I'm not concerned with what people call his lack of experience. That's what all the presidential advisers are for.

When I look at McCain, I see no energy or viger. I don't see change happening with him. I see the next 4 years the same as the last 8. I'd rather take a chance on the new guy.

It has certainly made hypocrisy more apparent.  The first words out of BHO's campaign were talking about her lack of experience. Huh!  As the country gets to know more about her, some will jump on the bandwagon and some will jump off.  Whether you think she can step into the presidency or not, she certainly is an impressive person.

I loved her speech about her time in the PTA....hahaha she totally has my vote. Once you've been a PTA member at a school you can totally be the Vice President of the United States. pshhh.
