Thai food is one of our favorite foods and when it comes to food we're always trying out new places in search of real authentic food.  We found one..., Redding's newest Thai restaurant. A small restaurant but oh so good! This place is authentic, delicious and very affordable!

Kanya  Gardenopened its doors five months ago and is quickly developing a loyal clientele. Chef and owner Mouang Saechao (a long time Redding resident) is excited about her new restaurant and is ready to wow customers with her amazing dishes.

We've become regulars here and Chef Saechao never disappoints us! She pays special attention to entree presentation, making sure the plates come out clean and on time (fast service by the way).  Coco, our server had a smile at all times, she was pleasant and helped us out with our menu choices(excellent service), the facility was clean and in order, as were the menus.

Maria had menu #L4 "Prig Khing Chicken" (sauteed with green beans, house curry paste and coconut milk, yummy!).  Chris had the Curry of the Day special served with a spring roll, side salad and steamed rice.  Be sure to ask for low-spice (or none at all), they've to the spice thing down, so caution to those who can't handle it.

Kanya Garden is located at 2825 S. Market St. in Redding

They are open 7 days a week 11am - 9pm, (530) 246-3830

Check out their website for menu choices - they do take outs!

Hi Chris and Maria, I am not so much into Thai but always appreciate highlighting these places for our localism efforts. And the fact that you love Thai food, speaks well for you to highlighting this restaurant.

thanks Bill, we've always loved Thai food. There's one in Carmel Valley we frequented A LOT, I forget the name, it's been almost five years so I can't think of it but it's in that shopping center (only one in Carmel Valley) right off that HWY that I believe is now open, you know what I'm talking about?
