I NEED "GREEN" IDEAS FOR A HOMECOMING FLOAT!! GOT ANY????

I just moved to Prosper and this is a FOOOTTTBBBALLLL town!!!  So, homecoming is huge here and I want to participate.  I want to participate for fun, so my kids can ride along and for advertising!

The colors in Prosper are green and white and this year's theme is "Go Green".  You can either make it "Go Green", as in Prosper, or "Go Green", as in eco-friendly.  I want to do both.  I am thinking of attaching my dads flat bed trailer to my SUV and (a white Envoy) and I just wanted to ask the group to help me brainstorm.  I only have 2 weeks!

Here is the email I got for the ISD.....

"Homecoming is quickly approaching and the parade committee is looking for participants! You can enter a truck, trailer, golf cart or horse. The theme is "Go Green!" Get your school group or community group together to ride in the parade! It's a Prosper Tradition!

We are also looking for "cool convertibles" or other unique cars to help drive our homecoming court, the mayor or school officials. If you have a car and would like to help, please let us know."

Sooooo, any ideas?

Sounds like a fun project -- since you want people to remember that you are a realtor - creating a house on the flatbed with a SOLD sign would be memorable.

- go green - save energy - let Jennifer do the work for you!

If you aren't too creative maybe get some local stagers to help you and also advertise on your float -- I agree ideas trigger ideas!

Enjoy the project and I'd love to see what you come up with!

What if you made a float that was you as the realtor with clients seeing open house on bicycles? You could use real bikes and have everyone sitting on them as they are towed along. Brand the bikes with your colors and logos.

Hi Jennifer - Try going to your local ACE Hardware (I'm certain you have one!) and see if you can get a coupon for "x" percent off CFL's, and insulating foam sealant (low voc of course!) and any other "green" remodeling ideas they may have. Hand out flyers printed on recycled paper with your advertising partner's coupon.

On the flyer print out some tips for going green. Doesn't help much with the float, does it? Find recycled products to make the float. We had an entry last year in the Outhouse 500 (use search feature to find my article!) that was made of all recycled materials to remind people to Reduce...Recycle...Reuse!

Good luck and do a post with pix!
