It's not the O'Reilly factor, but it is the McCain/Palin factor as of today!

How compatible will John McCain and Sarah Palin be?

According to my research into the astrological charts of John McCain and Sarah Palin...this interpersonal relationship can be quite tense and rebellious...not that that is a particularly bad thing...read on!

John McCain was born 72 years ago today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN! Ironically it is Sarah Palin's 20th wedding anniversary as well. Coincidence? Probably not, interesting, yes quite. People born under this sign are adaptive, imaginative, and structured. They hate chaos and try to develop ways to bring structure and clarity in their work. They are creative and can produce solutions to problems in a moments notice. These people are serious about their work and sometimes find it hard to tear themselves away (this is good for the US anyway).  Peter Jennings, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr., and Elliot Gould were born on this day.

Sarah Palin was born February 11, 1964.  She is 44. She is the youngest Governor of Alaska. Individuals born on this day typically make a significant contribution toward improving the lives of those around them. They are always looking for way's to improve situations. Making improvements in all aspects of their lives is what they strive on.  It is their goal throughout their life to unselfishly help those in need. People born on this day are helpful, inventive, and appreciative. Thomas Edison was born on this day as well as: Burt Reynolds, Tina Louise, Leslie Nielson, Sir Vivian E. Fuchs, Eva Gabor, to name a few.

In Astrology, these two are ruled by the number 2. They make good co-workers. These people are calm and impenetrable. Discretion, reserve and intuition rule these two.

They both are protective by nature. They will stand up for the underdog and try and protect those who cannot do so for themselves. They will have the ability to irritate one another, however they can also help each other in many intellectual ways.

Their best qualities are working together. They can roll up their sleeves and get the job done! When their is a tough decision to be made, they will unite and come to an agreeable conclusion in the best interests of their constituents.  They are both very assertive individuals and this will show as they move forward in the next 2 1/2 month's prior to the November 4th election.

Both of these people have a strong sense of fairness and a keen sense of how to have positive outcomes. They PROTECT THOSE THAT CAN'T PROTECT THEMSELVES, and by doing this should be a great pair in the political arenaWhen they both put their super energy into any situation, they WILL be effective, and as leader's this is a great quality.

How do you see the McCain/Palin match? Palin has an almost 80% approval rating as the Governor of Alaska.  She is giving some of the profits from her state back to the residents...to the tune of $1200.00 for each family...she must be doing something right!

What do you think?

**  The plane in question is not Sarah Palin's personal private jet.  It was purchased by the previous governor who was told not to purchase it by the Alaska state legislature.  The $2.7 million dollar purchase created a huge political firestorm in Alaska.  Sarah Palin never used the jet to fly around in and one of the first things she did when she was elected was to put it up for sale on E-Bay in December 2006.

**  I haven't found any evidence that she has lots of money.

**  Senator Biden's state (Delaware) has a population of 853,476 and Governor Palin's state has a population of 670,053 according to the US Census Bureau--not too much of a difference.

**  Hillary Clinton has 8 years experience as an elected official; Barack Obama has 10 years experience as an elected official -- and both of them have spent the last year-and-a-half running for President, which means they haven't been working at their jobs in the Senate.

**  Governor Palin is the only one on either ticket that has any day-to-day executive experience running a government.

Karen- We have been coming back at night (its only about 20 minutes away or so) but I guess tonight we might be staying. Is there really a AA group on here because I do need to join I'm addicted for real lol.

Also... All politicians say they are going to do things they are not going to... Remember "Read my lips, NO NEW TAXES"???, McCain said he wasn't going to increase taxes in the begining too. They are both going to raise taxes.

As far as Palin having more experience in her less time as a Governor... How many days did she actually go to the state capitol building sit at her desk and do actual work to get things done for her state? Our governor sucks, and even she has gotten a few things done too lol.... The only things I have heard/ seen about her are: She is a life-time NRA member (That's cool), She's against abortion (which I think should be the woman's right), She put a plane on ebay (whooo I could put it on Ebay too doesn't mean I will sell it, and no one seems to know if she did either lol), She is the one who got alaskan's paid for living there (WRONG... She got it so they don't pay the tiny tax they were paying before on that $1200... They were paying Alaskan's well before she ever became Governor... My aunt gets paid from alaska still and she hasn't lived there in well over 20 years which is before Palin was even a Mayor)... wow sure sounds like shes done alot LOL :-D

Michelle- Nearly 180,000 people isn't much of a difference... I bet it is to Palin, considering the city she was mayor of only had aboud 9,000 citizens.... she would have had to been mayor of about 200 towns to recover those #'s lol. Also how do you figure that because she is a governor she does any day-to-day executive operations?

Also If you all wanted experience in the White House you should of all voted for Hilary Clinton, not only does she have her 8 years elected experience, but she also is the only one to have lived in the white house, and everyone knows she was the one running the country while Monica was puffin on the other Cigar lol

Karen- Here is a little more I found on Mrs. Palin....

In May 2008, she filed a lawsuit to stop the listing of polar bears as endangered species because of fears that it would hurt oil and gas development in the bears' habitat off Alaska's northern and northwestern coasts. She said the move to list the bears was premature and was not the appropriate management tool for their welfare. So in other words she is willing to potentially let a species die off in the name of oil (Wow I am surprised Bush didn't choose her lol).

Palin began her political career in 1992 when running for Wasilla city council, supporting a controversial new sales tax and advocating "a safer, more progressive Wasilla". She won and served two terms on the council from 1992 to 1996.

In 1996, she challenged and defeated incumbent mayor John Stein, criticizing wasteful spending and high taxes. In January 1997, Palin fired the Wasilla police chief and library director. In response, a group of 60 residents calling themselves Concerned Citizens for Wasilla discussed attempting a recall campaign against Palin, but decided against it. The fired police chief later sued Palin on the grounds that he was fired because he supported the campaign of Palin's opponent, but his suit was dismissed when the judge ruled that Palin had the right under state law to fire city employees, even for political reasons.

Palin followed through on campaign promises to reduce the salary of the mayor, and to reduce property taxes by 40%. She increased the city sales tax to pay for construction of an indoor ice rink and sports complex. She ran for re-election as mayor against Stein in 1999, winning by an even larger margin. Palin was also elected president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors.......... So she is into cutting taxes, to raise them elsewhere for unneeded things.... AN ICE RINK IN ALASKA DO THEY NOT HAVE ENOUGH ICE OUTSIDE????? LOL

One thing I noticed about her she is interested in exposing Republican faults and those that are corrupt :-D

I found all this on Wikipedia so who knows how accurate it really is but yeah... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Palin

#1. RE: The Polar bears, if you read further she also said there is really not a problem with the polar bears, the person who decided they were in danger had no documentation to prove that.

You copied the next few lines from somewhere else b/c I read that already...Good for her, get rid of the corupt people who were in control.

I guess ice skating outside in the really frigid temperature's were not that appealing.

I like the fact that she uncover's corruption as well.

BTW, Wikipedia added negativity to he the night before she was officially announced as the VP candidate.

Are you having fun on the lake?

For the most part it was overcast today here and it rained a lot this am.

Michelle,

#1. The plane was used by the previous Governor prior to Palin.

#2. I agree.

#3. I agree.

#4. I agree as well. Who is running NY anyway?  And Obama has 3 years in as a Senator...working only 140 days..how is that considered experience? That's ACTUALLY LESS THAN 6 MONTHS!  :-0

#5. Again I agree.

Robert,

I think she is going to be awesome.  Really, Obama has been a Senator for 3 years and only logged in 140 days of actual work time...That's LESS THAN 6 MONTHS!

Geeze, she's been in a high position as a Governor for what will be 2 years in December and has a proven track record as some fantastic accomplishments.

Karen, anyone in the Obama camp that tries to dismiss this VP candidate for lack of experience, should take a good hard look at the top of their ticket. At least Palin has administrative experience. Obama has only legislative experience - and very little at that.

How are you making out with the storm?

It was obvious why McCain chose her for VP!  He is hoping that bringing a female to his ticket will draw all Hillary supporters over and vote for McCain/Palin!

I actually like Palin, too bad she is working with McCain :(

JIM,

You are so correct.  Obama's been in the Senate for 3 years and only logged in 140 working days, no experience.

Palin, Governor for 2 years in December. Running one of the most important states in our nation.

Obama, well, I think McCain just took the carbonation out of his Coka cola...

Tony,

I don't agree with you. I think Palin is fantastic and McCain is not a Bush secondary at all.

Palin is a woman with great fortitude and has proven leadership skills.  I admire McCain for his leadership during this horrific hurricane and his leadership in turning the RNC into a place to raise funds for those who are going to probably loose everything due to the hurrican in LA.

I don't particularly like Bush 2.  I'll take bush II though over the Marxist views of Obama.  The Wall Street Journal said he is the 3rd furthest left of anyone in congress.  He's LEFT OF HIS ENTIRE PARTY.  Not a McCAin fan....DEFINITELY A PALIN fan.  Hate a leftist like Obama.

Karen- I got all that info from wiki... probably been changed a few times since then lol.... You hear her 17 yr old is prego? and shes being investigated for abuse of power, and sounds like every other (R) from her state is being investigated for accepting bribes and a few other corruptions :-D lol

On a side note... yes the lake was fun, warm, and dry.... Now I am just hoping for some good rain so the grass will start growing again so I can work... been so hot and dry lately alot of lawns that don't have sprinkler systems are dry and brown :-(

Larry,

I like Palin as well. The reason for the criticism by the Dem's is that they are afraid of her...otherwise, there would be no comments.

Chris,

Maybe that's the life style in Alaska? Who knows? It's not like it's not a US epidemic.

I don't think there are issues of abuse of power of Palin...vetting, is the point  of what it is.

I thing McCain made a brilliant choice.

Aren't lawn's your specialty? How about doing as we do in Fl...pump water from the canal's or the lakes...I've never seen so many fake ducks on the end's of pipes that pump water in my life until I moved here...LOL!

Karen- The saddest part about her kid being pregnant is that is is becoming more and more acceptable. Luckily for her (Bristol), she seems to have a good family around her to help and support her, and the baby. Also sounds like this Levi kid is going to stick around and they may even get married which is cool, atleast he's not a deadbeat like many (especially at that age and in these days).

I am sure she will come out clean in the investigation for possible abuse of power (from her allegedly firing someone because they didn't fire her sisters ex-husband) lol. I'm not sure if they will connect her on any of the other crimes and accepting bribes, like they are doing w/ other Alaskan Republicans right now, but I know the main one they are talking about (Ted Stevens) and her are close and he has given her alot of money for ear marks and political pork... which is against what McCain is trying to stand for :-\

As far as the lakes for water idea.... yeah all our lakes have been losing water big time up here, and we pipe alot of it in for drinking water already (one of the main causes for the drops in water levels) I can only imagine what it would be like if we used it to water our lawns (well actually alot of places already do as it is turned into city water and city water is used for primary source of water.....) Long story short basically we do use it already for that purpose and others... however they usually put bans on watering the lawns even up here lol

Bob,

He say's she is his "soul-mate", I see it the same.  We'll see tonight after she speaks!  I cannot wait! Parking in front of the TV! I'm certain, she will not disappoint!  She's my type of woman, and I'm sure, if need be, she will step up to the challenge. Educate herself in a short period of time with McCain's International experience.  I'm sure that's the first thing on his agenda. Making sure she is up to date and informed.

Chris,

Maybe her daughter and BF have been together for a long time. (Not making any excuses for her being pregnant, after all, I counselled my children on the use of birth control and made it known to them early on, that if they had any inclination that they were going to be sexually active that I would take them to Planned Parenthood without toooo much fusssss, however, I did fusss! They did tell me and even though it made me angry, they did listen to the folks at Planned Parenthood.)

No one will ever know what Governor Palin and her daughter discussed.

Perhaps early marriage is prominent in Alaska.,,after all it's cold there (j/k).

I don't advocate teenage pregnancy at all, however, I do advocate teaching and advising your children and help them to make INFORMED decisions.

As for the rest, we don't know all the details...so I can't comment.

I do like her and am sitting here waiting for her speech...I'm sure you know, I will probably post about it.
