Alabama Department of Transportation has developed the I-65 Lane Reversal Evacuation Plan to aid in moving motorist from the Southern Region of the United States.  In the time of a Hurricane Evacuation, the I-65 southbound lanes will be reversed so that all lanes will allow motorist to travel north.

Kathy:  I could not imagine the aftermath of a serious storm. I think if I lived near the coast I would be in constant fear of the "what if" and "where do we go".  Since I now live closer to the coast (90 miles) I have become more aware of what the Hurricane Season really means.
