 OREGON 44    WASHINGTON 10                                                  

What a great way to start the season with a Pac-10 win over our biggest Rival.  I think that Oregon and Washington hate each other so much, that it makes for a great rivalry.  This is going to be a great week for business as I will start my monday with a huge smile on my face.  Why is Oregon-Washington such a great rivalry.  Well lets go back to the year 1932.  Back in 1932 Oregon and California finished in a 2 way tie for 1st place in the conference. As only one Team could represent the conference in the Rose Bowl, the conference had a vote among the schools of the Conference to decide who would represent the Conference in the Rose Bowl.  Washington had the deciding vote, and Oregon felt that Washington would vote for thier Northwest Aly.  But alas Washington Voted to send California to Pasadena, Ca for the Rose Bowl.  Ever since that time when ever the two teams meet in any sport it is sure hatred.  Now you know the rest of the story.
