Nestled between Braddock and South Mountain, Middletown is located between Frederick and Hagerstown. Middletown offers beautiful mountain views and lush farmland and is home to about 3500 residents (as of early 2007) who choose this area for the excellent schools, small town feel, and the easy commute to Frederick City. Middletown is also convenient to the DC metro and Baltimore area.

Middletown has a rich history of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. Soldiers passed through Middletown on Main Street and used the homes and churches as headquarters and hospitals.

Homes in Middletown range from stately Victorians in the downtown area to the modern colonials in communities such as Foxfield and Glenbrook. Although continuing to grow Middletown maintains it small town charm. Real Estate values in Middletown continue to grow due to slow growth policies and regulations due to water availability.

Some of the activities to enjoy in Middletown range from golfing on either of two beautiful golf courses (Hollow Creek and Maryland National) to playing ball, walking, or fishing in the town park. A variety of events take place each year such as the Middletown heritage festival, carnival, engine and tractor show, and 4^th of July fireworks.
