Just read the statistics for the closed sales in Banner Elk and Beech Mountain North Carolina. It wasn't a banner month for the high country area. Beech Mountain had 13 closed sales with an average of 299 days on the market. Banner Elk had 10 sales closed and 152 days on the market. There were 75 new listings on Beech Mountain and 46new listings in Banner Elk.
Hopefully the next 3 months will see a much better showing. I know buyers are in the market, but they seem to be really cautious about buying. This is a resort area with mostly second home buyers. We have seen a lot of activity in the area and hopefully it wilkl continue to go up.
