Million dollar choices in Seattle...

Previewing for a couple potential RELO buyers all weekend has raised the question over and over of price and what a buyer can find for a certain price range in Seattle.  So, let's look around the million dollar mark in Seattle, specifically 900,000 to 1,200,000.  Being in this price range can actually buy you a very large variety of homes!

Seattle waterfront property?

You could buy a waterfront house on Lake Washington at the top of the range - I looked at a gorgeous spot on Riviera today that made me long for a water ski boat and kayaks to plop into the water at any time.  Of course it didn't help that the house had both a yard and a seventy foot dock right there.  My Newfoundlands would LOVE this house!

How about a large one hundred year old Sunset Hill Puget Sound sweeping views house?  Large bedrooms upstairs with big tall ceilings and views of the sound and Olympic Mountains to die for.  That one was priced a little lower closer to the million dollar mark. 

How about the most perfect Green Lake house you could imagine with four bedrooms upstairs and even an unfinished third floor with views and tall ceilings.  Add in that it is only three houses from Green Lake in what I consider to be the gem of the entire lake neighborhood.  What to do?  That one came in at about the same price as the waterfront house on Riviera.

Of course, these don't even take into account Richmond Beach or even Bainbridge Island.  What would you buy for a million dollars in Seattle?
