This report is on... area 71 (Downtown and Surrounding Area):
South east of Ft. Campbell; a 15 to 20 minute drive to Ft. Campbell.
Advantages: Close to all parts of town and downtown shopping.
Disadvantages: More older homes with a smaller selection of newer homes available.
Historic Downtown you will find Tennessee's best example of 1870's period architecture: Montgomery County Courthouse, Public Square with City Hall, The Roxy Regional Theatre, Customs House Museum & Cultural Center, Smith/Trahern Mansion, the Cumberland River Center which includes As it Flows Cumberland River Center, RiverWalk and playground for the kids. You will also find Austin Peay State University and Clarksville Academy, the oldest private school in Clarksville. Just take a walk downtown and you will find antique shops, unique boutiques, restaurants and nightlife!
Homes in this area include older historic homes, a variety of existing homes and some new construction.

I always like go en to look at Historic Downtown areas. You can't find any better then in all the Southern State's, that's for sure!!
Walking in to a Southern Historic Home, will you just ain't lived until ya have done that.
