McCain

My son-in-law (John) on the left is probably the best thing that ever happened to our daughter.  He's an awesome guy and we love him like a son!  His biggest fault is he's NOT a McCain follower - in his opinion he doesn't want more of the same as the last eight years.   We've had many discussions over this and I will continue to try to sway him....but for now I've got him good with this one. John is in marketing and the other day someone from McCain Potatoes was in his office, so he managed to get his picture taken with these signs.

So John - this blogs for you!  Proof that you are a McCain fan!

I'm definately supporting McCain. To me Barack Obama is just like that buyer that talks of super ambition to buy, wants to see every house in the county and is in love with all of them. But when it comes time to get financed and prove they are ready they disappear as fast as they can.

Besides, I think McCain saw something we will all see in the Alaskan Governor. Shes got as much experiance as Obama and has certainly got a bit more substance. What can I say... I just love a PTA Mom! The McCain ticket is the real deal, not just a pretty parrot like someone else I've heard of. *cough*barack*cough*

Congrats on the pic Mary!

Mary - I would vote for McCain over Obama, what is all this change that Obama wants. He really won't say!

Hi Mary! I was thinking exactly what Tony and Brett were thinking. I am a diehard Democrat. Always have been always will be. :)

I am excited to see people getting involved in this election regardless of who they want to win...its just good to see Americans passionate and involved.

Mary:  My thoughts bring the suggestion that you should respect his viewpoint and his choices... and by showing your respect for him... perhaps as time goes on he may begin to see your side of the story.  Just my two cents.

By the way... my personal thought on this... is... No Way, No How... No McCain.  I do not think he is the right choice for America.

GOV Palin sealed the deal for me.  I will be a McCain Palin voter.  I live in the other guys state, all he ever did was vote present.  Chicago politics you know.  Great picture

Palin sealed the deal for me too! I don't much care for McCain but I love the attitude of the VP nominee!!!

This is such a touchy subject because, everyone has an issue that is important to them, and we sometimes feel so strongly about those issues that we become closed minded about other issues that are equally important.

I am with Karen Anne on this one.  No Way. No How. No McCain!  But I can't wait to count all the Sarah Palin haloween costumes this year... Now THAT should be funny.

Hi Mary - well if John makes your daughter happy, we can probably forgive him for this one little thing.

What is interesting is how this one bit of Liberal PR has such staying power.  I am certain that there is nobody in the Bush administration that thinks Senator McCain is a dependable extension of the Bush policies.  Unlike Senator Obama, McCain's nickname as the Maverick isn't something he made up for the purposes of the election.  He earned that title and it hasn't always been a compliment.

Strong political commentary, Mary. Seems you've got the kid where you want him :-)

Hope you have a great weekend.

Living in the D.C. area, we get more political news than anyone could ever want to read.  McCain has been a frequent topic for years because he's ALWAYS on the "other" side.  Obama, on the other hand, never did anything that the Washington Post wrote about (at least not that I saw) until he became a candidate.  Hmmm... a HISTORY of fighting for change or a PROMISE based on nothing - 'doesn't seem like much of a contest to anyone who follows politics when it's not campaign season.
