Today was  supposed to be going to be  "take care of personal business day."

You know...everything having NOT to do with my profession. Stuff like mow the yard, take the dogs for a run and a swim, rescue two dump kitties that some jerk left at our driveway, and work on the honey do list that I am certainly behind on. I had to run to the office to pick up a file, and was going to just sneak in and out early before anyone else got there.   Yeah sure!  As soon as I walked in the phone began to ring.

I have always said Answer the Phone!  No matter what.  That could be a twenty thousand dollar commission on the other end buddy! Pick up the phone numb skull! 

So I do. Every time.

Through the years I have been able to ask folks to give me their email and phone number whenever I was on "Take care of Personal Business Day"  But today something told me to take care of professional business today. So I did and ended up actually assisting a couple of good prospects.

You know it really did  take that long eithe, and it could put a couple of grand in the bank.  I was glad I helped these folks!

Whenever my phone rings I always say to myself (even a few times out loud) "Opportunity's Calling" even if I'm in the middle of doing dishes, laundry or yard work, 90% of the time it was. Do you know how many times Ive called an agent and 80% of the time I go to voicemail? I don't want to be that agent for my clients.

Yep ...I know exactly the feeling about the 80% rule. Don't like it either.
