The Ocracoke light is the second oldest operating lighthouse in the nation. My wife and I visited this lighthouse on a recent visit to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The Bridge on Route 12, Ocracoke Island was in the process of being repaired by the NC Dept of Transportation. Not to be deterred I put our jeep in 4 wheel drive low and drove the two mile detour on the beach around the construction to the village of Ocracoke. We spent a lovely day exploring and shooting the village and would recommend it to anyone. Also of interest is the British cemetery where is interred drowned British sailors from WWII.

Bryant, I LOVE this picture of a lighthouse.  When my husband and I traveled to the east last year, I captured several lighthouses...I'll have to dig them up and share.

Steve-

Thank you so much! It's funny you mention marketing, that's what I am struggling with now, how to get my photography business in front of consumers.

Bryant- Your website certainly does that immediately.  Very nice. I recognized the BW dogwood from AR.  You are skilled and I am sure you will not struggle too long.

Steve- I really enjoy lighthouses and what there used for, the blue sky in that photo is great. How old is that light house? It looks very old.

Pam-

I love the whole outer banks and especially Ocracoke because it is a little more out of the way versus Hatteras. Thanks for the kind words about my images!
