Now This Is A Cool Listing - You Won't Believe it....

By
Real Estate Agent with 3DX Real Estate

I received the following in an email a few weeks ago.  While the email claimed this home was for sale in  Brooklyn, NY; It was actually located in Toronto, Canada.  How would you like to market this house?  It would be quite a bit of fun I think!  Open Houses would Rock!

Occupying what used to be a driveway, it's a one bedroom, one bathroom home that sits on a parcel of land 7.25 feet wide and 113.67 feet long. It's interior area is just under 300 square feet.

Tiny House

Here's the living room, looking towards the front of the house...

Here's the living room again, looking towards the back. Here's the bedroom. It comes with a Murphy bed, which is a necessity in such a space. This is what it looks like with the Murphy Bed down.

tiny bedroom

Here's the kitchen. Note that despite the small space, they've managed to fit a washer and dryer into the place.  I can't figure out where the refrigerator is - I don't think it has one!  (It did not list one on the write up anyway!)

You also get some patio space out back.
Here it is, looking towards the front of the house.

Tiny backyard

Here are the home's 'Listed Features':
* Completely redone top-to-bottom, front-to-back!
* Tumbled stone entrance walk
* Renovated Bath
* Renovated Kitchen with new stove, new cabinets and new stacked washer/dryer
* Bedroom with Murphy Bed + 'Built-ins'... (doubles as a den)!
* Walkout to fenced patio
* 100 Amp service
* 2 Satellite Dishes and Receiver
* Window Air Conditioner Available

THE PRICE ? ? ?

You get all this for.......

While the email said $479,000 in NY; It was offered at $179,900.... That's only about $599.66 a Square Foot, Such a Deal!

Lorena, all I can say is good luck to the agent!  It is cute, but it will take a specific buyer!

It sure is cute.  That amount of space isn't too unusual in areas of New York City, San Francisco, etc.. however they are usually homes that have been condo-ed, apartments,,,, not a cute little house stuck to another house!

The Home is adorable BUT even if I were a loner with no friends or family I wouldn't pay that much money for it!

I must say that this is certainly cute but agree that this will take a specific buyer. Shoot, you can cut the grass with a weed eater...

I've seen this before...did it sell, or is it still on the market?

I think Laura Jefferson is thinking in the right directio, this would make a nice "private hotel room" the owner could rent out, but live there?  Nah.

Hello Liz,

Thanks for the comment.  We all know how difficult real estate can be if we have been in it long enough.  I try and keep focused on the positives of our business and try to keep in mind everyone has bad days and we don't know what they are going through; sometimes, not always, saying a kind word, a compliment or giving a smile can make one's day a little better and brighter.  It doesn't cost anything to be kind.  Imagine how nice it would be if everyone did that.  I am impressed by some of the caring, sharing, helpful people I have found here.  I would want the same kindness returned to me - I am a believer in the Golden Rule -

"Treat others as you would like to be treated"

Have a great day!  Here's a Flower  from my Garden!

The funny thing is that if it was in NYC it would get rented! I rented a 200 sq. ft. studio a few months ago. Amazing!
