Lovely 2008 built new home in South Redondo Beach. 
The loft has a private balcony. I just love the idea of being in a special room to create, to read and just have a retreat all one's own.
This is a view of the loft is from the great room- living dining balcony and kitchen all open for todays family. Ironic twist is that the one room concept even in the log cabin, igloo or tent gives place for eating around the fire. Isn't it a great room?
