With good weather the New Construction continues today!

We have started on the flooring! We are using 2 different Trex materials.

1. The Trex Designer Seriesfor the railing and kickboards

2. The Trex Escapes Series for the decking

This is a slower process because we are using clips vs screws. This creates a very nice finished look.

One of my favorite things to do is build a new home in Charlottesville with my clients. There is something about new construction that brings out the engineer in me. I love the details and the design. My buildersin Charlottesville are craftsmen, many of which will be on site with tools in hand!

Properly installed, Trex can be a great system. I have seen too many of these installations really botched up by 'tradesmen' using improper fasteners...

Charles, I'm enjoying this series because I'm starting soon on a 2-story porch for the back of my house.  I really like the look of the Trex.

Charles, great idea to use the clips verse screw. I will have to review this series. I lost track because of the evacuation from the hurricane.

All - the clips are great, now you still need to screw in steps or the end boards because there are no clips on the faces (I guess that is obvious).... :-)

I love TREX. Looks like wood but doesn't weather nor rot.
