Should you be a real estate investor?

Most of the books, tapes and infomercial how-to programs jump right into investing. We take a slightly different look at where to begin by focusing this weeks show directly at the aspiring real estate investor. Over the years, I have met many different kinds of investors - including the successful and the not so successful. Lets start the discussion of real estate investing not with where to start looking for properties, but whether or not YOU should be investing in properties at all.

Real estate investing is not a game of luck. Folks who succeed at it do so because they have the skills and talents to pull it off. Do you have those traits? Are your expectations about real estate investing realistic? To put it bluntly, do you have what it takes? This is where we start our discussion of investing. Listen to todays podcast, with any luck, some of what it has to offer might get you thinking about whether or not real estate investing is really what you want to do.

Robert you make a very good point.  Far too many people think it's easy.  It can be easier with the right plan, attitude and guidance.  Knowing which way you're headed is a good way to start.
