IT'S MAGIC, I'M SURE.  But, it appears that no matter where you enter almost anything on the Internet, it can be picked up by Google and appear in the most unexpeted places.  And, no doubt about it, ACTIVE RAIN IS EVERYWHERE ! ! ! !  

Witness below.  On about the 12th of January, Teresa Boardman tagged me for a MEME and I responded with a short response about 5 things . . . . . .   My response was short because I was under a deadline to do something which I now cannot even recall. 

No matter, the short response I made then is not in the SERP on SearchMash in a search for "lovettsville homes for sale".  SearchMash mimics the Google SERP, but it's a great place to see what graphics are indexed.  I love maps and have a number of them on my web sites.  These maps are popular with viewers and I've even met with home buyers to see a copy of a map of the area of our search in their folder.  So, I'm pleased when searching SEARCHMASH that my maps show in "images". 

LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED TO be indexed almost anywhere on the Internet.

Yes and it is funny how many people put things up on the internet and assume that it will not be available to the general public at all and yet it somehow makes its way to the forefront when you least expect it!

I haven't heard of SearchMash before.  I will have to check it out.  As for your maps, yes there are many admirers, including myself.  I am still trying to figure out how you make them.  Please let me be the first one to know when you do decide to spill the beans.  :-)

Jon - True.  I do find, however, that Active Rain MEMBERS ONLY posts do not get crawled by Google. 
So, if one doesn't want it crawled, make it MEMBERS ONLY.

Stefan Scholl I like SearchMash because when you do a search, you can click images and get the SERP plus the images.

Lenn: OK, I was just about to comment, but was distracted by a strong desire to play on Google. Imagine that! I found various AR stuff I had posted, commented on and even found our "other" blog on a few people's blogrolls, poeple I don't even know!
