Thank GOD Gustav did not have the power or longevity of Katrina. Hwy 90 was officially closed today, but I had authority this time to snap a few pictures. Keep in mind that some pictures may look bad because of Post Katrina damage, not Gustav damage. Please also keep in mind that the Gulf Coast is healing. What you see along Beach Boulevard is quite different from what you see in the neighborhoods. If you are relocating--I am sure we will have a home you will find suitable.

The mobile is the temporary post Kat Long Beach Yaught Club. The almost finished structure is the New one in the making.

The Temporary club is definitely banged up.

The good, really, really good ending is that the newly built businesses seem to have had little damage, so far--limited to what I saw.

Pam, thank you. I tentatively say it looks as though we were spared, at least in the Long Beach area, as far as I can tell. Pass Christian had some flooding as did Bay/Waveland . I was surprised that our electricity stood. Great job on the new infrastructure.

Let us know how you are doing. I will subscribe to your blog so I won't miss any posts.

Take Care.

Are you excited? If you found me, you are most likely thinking of moving to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I remember the excitement, anticipation and concerns about relocating. Therefore, I try to convey "slice of life" moments with photo-blogs and single photo uploads. My area of focus is Harrison County, MS. Distinctively, Gulfport, Biloxi, and Long Beach at this time.
