Need to get out of the Big City?  Well here's another little piece of paradise.  Nestled in the hills just south of Chilliwack is the beautiful jewel of Cultus Lake!

As a child, it was one of the 3 beaches my folks used to take us kids to.  Breathtakingly beautiful......even as a child I used to just soak in the wonder of it all.

This gorgeous provincial park and resort area is one of the most popular summertime destinations in  southern British Columbia, and has been one of the most popular tourist areas in the Fraser Valley for more than a century.Surrounded by exquisite beaches and incredible mountain views, there are over  65 acres  and 660 campsites. ..

Cultus Lake is the perfect place to unwind -

Whether you're planning a quick weekend getaway or a whole season of relaxation, Cultus Lake is a remarkable retreat. Its crystal-clear waters shimmer off gently sloping sandy shores, beckoning to swimmers, sail-boarders, sailors, and water skiers.  Aren't you lucky tht there's huge selection of summer vacation homes, from cabins to luxury homes -that can be rented by the week or by the month. Check out Cultus Lake Vacation Homes!

All of this is  within walking distance of...the Cultus Lake Waterslides, 18 hole golf course, hiking trails, mini golf and much more.

The ride of your life is waiting for you at the Cultus Lake Water Park, where radical rapids, blasting flash flood slides, relaxing whirlpools, water fountains and wading pools will thrill the young at heart.

And if a weekend, week or month long getaway is not enough.....Why not look at purchasing a property here? There are  over 465 full time residences..from cute little cottages, rustic log homes, and luxurious villas...

The warm waters of Cultus Lake have attracted visitors to frolic and splash on its beaches for decades. Small private cabins clustered around Cultus Lake Municipal Beach's maze of swimming wharves testify to this tradition. The warm water is so clear that at midday the gold sand on the bottom of the lake perfectly complements the colour of the summer sun.

If you've never been here before I invite you to come and enjoy the drop dead beauty, amazing              recreational activities, and the one of a kind residential opportunities.

Liz,

Let's see the differences between here and there...

  • Your money is colorful, ours is green.
  • The speed limit signs up there make you thing you're going fast!
  • You have beautiful lakes, mountains and trees...  Wait, so do we... (forget that one)
  • You have great friendly people!  Wait, so do we... (forget that one)
  • You're a bit closer to Vancouver, my favorite city in the World!

I guess you're right, its really not all that different!!

Liz, that is a beautiful set of pictures! I have been through Chilliwack several times and even spent a weekend there this spring, it is georgeous! ONe of the great things is that it is only a few minutes from a major city (Vancouver) yet feels like it's very isolated. It's also easy to fly into via Abbotsford airport...what a great area.

Hi Liz,

I love some of the photos you have on your blog, I wonder if you would allow me to reuse them on a gallery inside a blog on cultus lake.  Our site is cultuscottages.com advertising our rental property ... Hawthorn Cottage round by Lindell Beach.

We are not real estate agents and dont foresee any conflict of interest ... we I would be happy to provide links back to your blog also for real estate purchase enquiries that visitors to our website and our rental property as if they are interested in purchase we would need to refer them to a local real estate agent.

Regards, Lindsay
