I know it' been a slow market lately and it is such a relief to have someone make an offer let alone show your salesmanlistings but GEEEEEZ, sometimes I just can't handle some other Realtors.

Ok, I'm not trying to be mean because it's sometimes actually funny. I've just noticed an increase in other agents keeping me on the phone trying to sell me the home when I'm not buying it. I have no problem with someone mentioning a few points that they would like me to take special note of, like a possible incentive, or that sellers are going to get a professional cleaner, etc, but enough is enough sometimes.

I know most everything I need to know just by looking at the MLS and showing the home. If I need anything above and beyond, I promise I'll ask. Please don't feel the need to be gimmicky with me like telling me "lets make this happen man", or "what else could they need", or "c'mon man, you can make it happen". Ha ha, like I said funny but tiresome all the same!

It is annoying, but everyone is hurting.

Jose,

I agree!  If my clients liked the house, I would call and find out more.  I guess there are some out there that need a little push??

I think in a few cases the selling agent could point out some details that may not be evident, but your comment implies that they're trying to do more than that.

AMEN!  Stop calling and stop pestering me!  It actually makes me more likely not to sell your home most of the time!!!

Some people just do not know when you end a conversation.  I haven't experienced that in real estate, but I always find myself ending a phone conversation before other do.

Kind Regards,

It's funny isn't it?  I also agree that agent incentives are really kind of useless.  It's up to my buyer which home they'll choose, not me!

Just keep in mind, one day you will need another broker to help YOU with a listing or to get a deal through; while we are all competitors we also have to find a way to cooperate.  Everyone is just trying to find their own feet.  Our sellers are pressing to get their homes sold, and sometimes those calls are made with the sellers standing there....have you ever had a 'sign' call and find out later that it was the seller's friend testing your response?

When I have to go back to my seller, who is requesting the feedback, I do tell them who has been the least cooperative in responding - and my Homefeedback system allows for them to see who hasn't responded and who has had comments.

I don't mind being 'sold' to by other brokers - it's all part of the fun.

Linda - Cooperation isn't the problem with the Realtors I'm bloging about. Like I said, if someone wants to mention something above and beyond about their listing that they think will help sell the home then by all means please share. What I speak of are those of us who don't get the hint that we (as the buyers agent) smiley facehave all the information we need, thank you for your help, we'll call you if our client decides to take a second look or write an offer.

When on the listing side, I'll let a buyers agent know if my home comes with buyers assistance, or if my seller is willing to replace the carpet, but I don't want to waste their time or mine trying to convince them to convince their buyers to put in an offer. Joking and being personable is great but that's not what I speak of and is ultimately very different from those being pushy, relentless, and annoying.

Feedback is not a problem either and I'm always happy to give agents feedback after I visit there home (by web or phone). Again, like I said, it's usually more funny to be sold to than it is annoying but those days when your busy, with a client, getting ready for closings, etc, it becomes plain annoying and rude. :)
