Tropical Storm, Hanna, heading for Beaufort SC?

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with RE/MAX 1st Advantage SC58585

Well, it has been a long time since Beaufort South Carolina has been hit by a hurricane.  We have not had a direct hit since the 1950's, so we appear to be located in a protected area when it comes to hurricanes.  Beaufort South Carolina is located at the bottom of the state of South Carolina, where the state indents inland at the South Carolina/Georgia line.  Because of our location, hurricanes and tropical storms normally go to our north at Charleston or further north to the North Carolina Outer banks.  The preparations for Hanna have begun with alerts, people boarding up windows, and some residents even making hotel reservations in Macon or Augusta Georgia.

RE/MAX Sea Island Realty  had scheduled their first Mix and Mingle for Thursday evening; however, based on feedback from our client's we are canceling the party/mixer.  We will have our October Mix and Mingle right on schedule on the first Thursday of the month (10/2/08).  We are preparing and hoping for the best with hurricane Hanna heading our way.

Wow! I'd love to see some action down in Beaufort, but now it's starting to turn. Hanna will most likely turn right past them. ah man! Well, maybe Ike or Josephine will get em. You never know!
