Staging - it's a mindset thing.

By
Home Stager with West Coast Staging

One of that hardest transitions a homeowner has to make is to the role of seller.   Our homes are our emotional haven, we live in them every day, which makes us "immune" to the little oddities that potential buyers DO notice.

Home staging eases the burden of this transition for the seller.  Through the process of staging, the home is transformed into what potential buyers want to see and feel - not what the current owners want to see and feel.

The transformation can often be surprising to the seller - they are often amazed at how different the house looks - bigger, brighter, more modern.

Change can be a difficult thing, but in the hands of the right stager, it can be an efficient and quick process.

Staging is a good thing. It starts with cleaning out the junk and cleaning up the house.

So true, yet sometimes the simplest things are the hardest to get started aren't they?

I think you make a great point that staging is a psychological shift for the Seller that they will not be living there much longer.  What a good idea to help them be ready to negotiate to sell that house!

Excellent point, getting the seller to give up emotional ownership of the house is the hardest part.

Could not agree more. I have to perform my "We don't SELL a home the same way we LIVE in a home!" speech for just about all my listings. Staging is just a great way to bring that home.
