I know our area was spared the worst of the storm. We turned our power off to forestall any potential problems with a sudden power surge if the power was shut off and then suddenly turned back on. The only issue we ended up having was the pump on our well lost pressure and my hubby had to learn plumbing on the fly.
I heard from the fellow evacuees in the hotel we were staying at in Shreveport that the power in the Houma, Morgan City, Baton Rouge, etc., areas were going to be power less for up to a month.
I know for sure my pups don't like being shut in a hotel room with little space to play.
Did anyone else evacuate and have a good or bad experience they would like to share?
