How to win over a For Sale by Owner – Attitude is everything!

Tonight while watching one of my favorite movies of all time, I realized that this movie described me every time I left the office, or my house, to go to a For Sale by Owner's home. I left with all the confidence in the world, but upon getting in to the house, I was a wreck and sounded like an idiot!

So thank you Mel and Gene for putting exactly how I feel about taking on a For Sale by Owner. I didn't have to change a word in this dialog, it was perfect!

I always have to laugh at that scene. I never connected it to FSBOs before, but now that you mention it .....

People often talk about the classics, but Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder were the best. I had to buy the whole collection from Costco. My kids watch these movies and laugh and laugh. It keeps you on your toes and no matter how many times you watch you discover something new. Thanks Todd for the memories...

LOL! PERFECT! And I thought I tryed em all. Can't wait to try this one. I will start watching comedys in a whole new light.

What is a hoot. Young FrankenSTEEN, is one of my all time favorties. I saw it in the theater when I was in high school. My girls and I get such a kick out of it!

Todd, actually I saw this in reverse...

You are the frustrated guy in chains. The fsbo (Gene) comes to you after he realizes his error in judgement. Everyone lives happily ever after.

Tom - I'm glad you enjoyed, so is that how you feel as well?

Susan - I saw it in a whole new light when I watched that night, especially after have been at a FSBO house earlier in the night.

Paul - I couldn't agree more, the more you see them the more you laugh. My kids are not quite old enough to show these movies to yet, but I certainly have shown them the 80's show Sledge Hammer and they love that!

Claudia - I didn't mean to see it this way, but there are just some home owners that make you wish you never went in the door. (LOL)

Damon - I'm pretty sure he did in the end!

Jon - That movie really one of the best along with Blazing Saddles and I just saw that and thought about that FSBO and just lost it.

Leslie - Oh, I wish I could have been in that theater when it came out, I can't even imagine how hard that audience laughed.

Victor - Now, go rent the movie and tell me it doesn't apply to most!

Not quite sure how you made the connection, but there has to be a little humor in everything. It's been so long since I last saw that movie, I forgot how funny Wilder was in it. Thanks for sharing,and good luck with that next FSBO!

Todd, That is hysterical. Putting the FSBO in my mind for the scene had me in tears. Too funny.
