Google does it again!!

I am simply stunned at the news.

Google has introduced free TiSP (beta).

It's a whole new way to access your internet. Via the toilet! TiSP stands for Toilet Internet Service Provider. If you have municipal sewer, they have isp for you!

Read all about it here. I had to stifle a chuckle as I read, "I couldn't be more excited about, and am only slightly grossed out by, this remarkable new product," said Marissa Mayer, Google's Vice President of Search Products and User Experience.

Too bad I have septic. Most of the Miami Redlands does. Oh well, I guess the Redlands won't be able to take advantage of this "dark porcelain" technology.

As you click over to google's press release, keep in mind what today's date is. hmmmm??

Jay, what are you talking about? ::wink, wink:: I am just reporting on google's press release. The whole thing is hysterical. It takes a few layers of clicking for them to come out and admit the joke.

Jay, I have to admit they had me going for the first paragraph or so after I did my first google search this morning. They did, after all, metnion the "F" word..FREE! When it started getting odder and odder I remembered today's date. I always enjoy these big guys playing their April Fool's prank on us.

WHAT??? This isn't real??

Oh Craig, honestly! There was absolutely no need for the name calling young man. I know Mark Flanders is better than me. I lose sleep over it each and every night. I'm making a trip to the oven now. My head'll fit in there rather nicely, I think. Oh Rats! I have an electric one. These utilities are just not on my side lately. <<waahhhhhh!>>

Lizette - had they done this at any other time of the year, they would have gotten me. It's interesting that when they introduced gmail 3 years ago (?) they did it right before 4/1 and there were a lot of skeptics thinking it was a big joke.

I saw the link off of their home page yesterday and of course clicked it. I couldn't believe they were somehow going to offer free broadband service :) Then I started reading this article with seemingly strange language. It was quite funny.

Angie, I had a laugh with it too. Somehow we find it terribly funny when we've been had by these big companies, no? At least I do. Then to make things more palatable we have to pass it on to see who else they get. I think April 1st may become one of my favorite days of the year. Thanks for stopping by!

Ines - yes! That's why I laughed at that supposed line from Ms. Mayer. She was only "slightly grossed out." lol
