McCain's Speech VS. Obama's

The truth is this: Obama can charm an audience but have you ever seen him answer a question without a script or teleprompter? He can't think fast on his feet...he struggles. But if he knows what he is going to say with no questions, he's awesome.

McCain did OK last night. He's not "that good" at that type of public speaking. But ask him a question on the street, or without a script and he can answer it and hit a homerun. He knows what he's talking about.

I would rather have a President that doesn't need the fanfare, the spotlights and audience of applause that keeps him going. Who cares Obama can "wow" a crowd...that's NOT the job of a President. Give me McCain anyday to think quickly and know the right answer.

LaNita, You are right on with your observations.

Obama's strength and McCain's weakness has been the "big speech".  It will be interesting to see them both in a debate where they'll have to think on their feet a bit.

LaNita: You know my feelings:) and if you don't mind Rick, McCain will be awesome. If you haven't already seen Rick Warren from Saddleback interviewing both candidate's on August 16th you should. It's was amazing how good McCain was. He answered questions quick and without reservations, even told a story on most while he was answering the questions. While BO was struggling, he ran out of time and never answered as many questions than that of McCain.

I can honest say I sat through both conventions. BO and Michelle are great speakers. But BO really, really struggles without a script or teleprompter or unless he his just repeating the same message.

LaNita - I have to agree with you and I missed their speeches. All I here about Obama is that he's the poster boy. I don't want a poster boy to run the country I live in, I want someone that can get the job done.

McCain is not an orator; Obama is. That said...

McCain has a long record of service to the country since 1982 (as U.S. Congressman) and 1986 (as U.S. Senator). Obama, since Jan 2005, as U.S. Senator. Okay, he's young. He's got time. But after only two years in the U.S. Senate, he started running for president. Even Hillary didn't do that -- she waited until she gained more experience and more seniority before announcing a run for the nomination.

Hmm...someone whose service to the country is well-known, and who has seen the best and the worst of times in different administrations....

Versus someone who's been a senator only 2 years, served under only one administration...

Whom can I trust to have a more seasoned, more balanced, more informed view of what we need?
