A Bit of Decorum would be Appreciated… Especially today!

On this day of frivolity (April Fools day), I hope this site does not go all "hell in a hand basket' on it's readers and members with silly jokes.

This is a professional site, with professionals sharing and discussing professional topics about the VERY professional real estate industry.

As professionals we need to hold tight to the COLD HARD FACTS that people come here and want. It is a WELL KNOWN FACT that they expect to read straight forward dry diatribes on our industry... day in and day out, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Our colleagues and our clients need not be amused, smile or delighted in any manner. There are plenty of other places on the web for THAT SORT OF THING... and let's face it, Real Estate is no laughing matter.

So I ask you all to please keep in mind that this is NOT the place for contrived silliness. I do hope you join me and refrain from doing so.

Tony... you and MARK are the carriers of the "basket" for which I speak. (I will not use the "H" word twice in one blog). These kind of posts undermine Active Rain, Google and the whole world wide web.

Duane... I have had my daily fix of caffine... it is that which keeps me focused on wiping out all that is wrong here on Active Rain.

I completely agree with Craig, this is a professional site for professional people and we need to remember that at all times. Now, where were those dog jokes??

That was the most disturbing picture I've seen today. Wow....just wow :P

Jacob, you're talking about the dog with the human face right? :) As you can see I have no qualms about ridiculing myself in a public forum. Hey I have to throw my competitors a bone every now and then. That picture was taken years ago when one of our sons came home from Marine boot camp. I was trying to make him laugh and succeeded. What a man won't do for his family.

Remaining serious may present a challenge to Carnac this evening. And I believe that their is a prediction involving you and your buddy Jane.

Thanks you once again for performing a valuable community service in setting standards and reminding us of the very serious nature of this blog. For my part, I am hereby announcing that I will no longer be attempting to yoke around on the Active Rain as I can now see the full extent of the ramifications of intended or unintended humor. I have attained an awareness of the potential danger of someone falling of their computer chair due to hysterical convulsions when LTAO. This is serious!

I just don't think I can live up to these professional standards.

Are these people MAD??!! This is not a joke...it's serious business!! I am so sick and tired of the silliness that goes here every day. Get a life people! BTW, your clown nose is so appropriate for this post Craig!!
