I did it I finally did it I have only been thinking about this and negotiating in my mind for months. Do I move and change brokerages or do I not.

He offers/She says............who is right? Who is wrong is the silver (gold lining really there)

You know the line  "It will take you at least 6 montes to rebuild."

It took me 8 months to make this heart wrenching decision.

But I did it!! And I never had to rebuild anything!! I got to take my listings with me and In the past two weeks have 6 contracts I'm working on and 2 + 2 more new listings! Everyone (clients) are so excited about this new venture.

And OH MY GOSH!!! Am I HAPPY!!

My broker IS ALWAYS available........MY SUPPORT staff is always there............

My head still hurts and my body still aches but was it worth it.........YES!!

If I can be so bold as to add in the last line of a email that I got from my new broker 2 weks into this .....that still brings me to tears............

"Marie, thank you for believing in us to the point that you totally upset your entire being to come to work here."

It is so good to be believed in and appreciated for the hard work that is done.

Hi Marie,  Somewhere I read in a recent post that a broker had a sign that said " If you are not happy move..you are not a tree"

I absolutely love that.  I started with C21 in my career and stayed until they decided to close our smaller of his offices. at the time I could not travel to the larger office due to health responsibities I had at home with my dad & husband.

I loved C21 but I love the Company I am with now also. It is wonderful to work in a supportive positive atmosphere,  I am happy for you.  Change can be good.

Good luck with the new company.  A year ago I made a decision to switch companies that was very tough for me.  My broker at the time had lost his wife, the property manager, and I had assumed her position.  I felt responsible for the whole department and keeping the department going, but I felt smothered and wasn't getting the help I needed.  It was tough, but I moved and I would never go back.

I've said it a few times on here that it's the people that make the sign (in front) and not the sign that makes the people. I've been trained by the best, but it is me that makes the sales, and I'm glad you found a good family.

Change is usually a scary thing to most people ,so it's great that you did it.Sometimes we have to remind ourselves of the old saying"what's the worse that can happen".I applaud you and must admit it has been a year plus that I have been agonizing over making a move myself. You may have inspired me.

Marie:   Since this business can be demanding and cut throat - you must do what is in the best interest of yourself and your business.  If you seek better assistance and a happy heart your work will shine through and through.  Keep up the excellent customer service and connecting to your clients on their level.  All the advertising in the world does not make you the referred agent its the level of service and who you are that keep your name circulating amongst home buyers and home sellers.  Keep focused and set your personal goals, the possibilities are endless.
