A number of changes (visible to students) are planned, starting April 1, 2009. These include:
- Phasing out the real estate encyclopedia and provincial reference manual. Every course will eventually have its own textbook.
- Courses to be renamed. Phase 1 becomes Course 1 ("Real Estate As a Professional Career"). Phase 2 becomes Course 2 ("Land, Structures, and Real Estate Trading"). Phase 3 becomes Course 3 ("Residential" or "Commercial").
- All pre-registration exams will be multiple choice, in addition to being closed book (as of January 1, 2008).
- With an automated exam administration system, every student will write a different exam (random ordering of questions, different questions) and receive their marks within days.
