Are you in Sales? Do you want Referrals? What system are you using?

Recently I posted a blog about   over 200 people looked at my posting but only 11 people posted to it.  Either this tells me that everyone has their own system and they are not sharing or I didn’t do a good job explaining the importance of Customer Relationship Management.  If you are NOT organized and you don't have all your clients in a database separated into groups (past clients, current buyers, current sellers, etc. ) that sends out real mail for you then you are in need of a really cool product.  Keep reading and I will tell you about a High Tech Marketing System that can help you generate lot’s of client referrals.

My question is what system do you have in place?  Is it working for you? If it is please share with the rest of us if you got a great system, please.

I did some research to find out what great sales people did to generate sales and referrals, what was the magic system the one thing that made people keep referring their salesperson. sell 6 cars a day, everyday?

Joe Girard was born during the depression in one of the most deplorable ghettos in Detroit city. Joe had a difficult relationship with his father. At a very young age, Joe started shining shoes of people in saloons. He had a tough childhood. But even though Joe came from a poor background and had a hard start, he became really successful.

How successful did Joe become?

The Guinness Book of World Records listed Joe Girard as the "World's Greatest Retail Salesman" for 12 consecutive years.

People actually used to lineup to meet Joe, so that he could sell them cars. There would always be a queue in front of Joe Girard’s dealership on every Saturday morning. Joe Girard sold more cars individually than most dealers sell in total. He sold an average of 6 cars every day, throughout his selling career. He sold 13,001 cars during his selling career… all at retail.

What's his secret?

He built and maintained relationships. Joe used to send 13 cards to all his prospects and clients every year. One every month and one for Christmas. He created a place for himself in the brains of his prospects and clients by keeping in touch with them.

He made sure that he was in peoples' minds when they had to buy a car. And that is how he sold 6 cars a day, every day.

Checklist:

Keep in touch with people regularly.

Send them “Thank you” notes.

Send them season’s greetings.

Send them news and information that will be beneficial to them.

Send them free goodies.......

I use this system and it works! After the last mailing I got two LISTING referrals from 1 client and one of those referrals told me during the listing presentation that she has a friend who she will give my information to because she wants to list her home in the next few months. Data base I use act. System I just have my own methods. My business is 100% referral. I beleive in learning from others. Please do take time to read my blogs they will give you some ideas on client referrals. One is to bring them value. Coni, I do work by referral, too.  It is the best! People know they can trust you because they have met or know someone, who has used your professional services.  I use and live by, Brian Buffini's systems.  I have used others, over my 22 years in this business and his systems just seem to be the right fit for me.  It is good of you to share and encourage others for this help.  We all need a little help right now:)

When I have a client referral to another state, I do look to my CRS designee's for help.

Hey Fran,

Speaking of designations, I'm at the Maryland Association of Realtors Conference and I'm taking CRS-210 tomorrow and Thursday on Building an Expectional Customer Service Referral Business... I love taking CRS classes and I can't wait to get my designation.... I'm almost there...

I am very familiar with Brian Buffini and his system, It's also good.

Any referral system you can use is a good if you use it, if it is easy, and if you use it!! But you have to use it...

I see so many people blogging about how do I get more business, how do you tell them that something so simple as sending out a card to past clients and your sphere of influence reminding them that you are a Real Estate Professional and that you are open for business is the simplest thing you can do and the most overlooked!! 

All I can do is keep preaching to the choir and hope they one day get that it is really that simple.
