Today Kim Wood, my apprentice from MakeOver2TakeOver contest came to visit. She had her 2 daughters and her husband Michael, stopped here on to have brunch with us.
We had a great time, not long enough.............but long enough to catch up and share Twitter stories. We are all going to Inman Connect in January 2009 in N.Y. City.
I cooked four breakfast casseroles, and picked up a Sour Cream Coffee cake from Zingermans.
My two daughters were going to the Michigan vs Miami of Ohio game, and I think at one point Kims husband was ready to cancel his sisters wedding and go with Christa. Michael grew up in Battle Creek so he is a big MI fan. I told him to follow my blog as I always talk about Wolverine Football.
It was fun to here, my Mike and Kim's Mike talk about the stress, tears of MakeOver2TakeOver. LOL
Enjoy some photos:

Thanks for coming, Kim and family.........see ya in January and talk to ya on Twitter and Skype. Activerain friends ARE real friends, I think Kim's daughter found that out today !

Darn I'm losing my New York connection come the end of October. My daughter is moving her stuff back to Texas and going to commute. It sound like fun.
My sister and I are heading to NYC in 2 weeks to visit my daughter and go to a Broadway play. We figure while we have the place to stay we had better take advantage.
Missy - Looks like you both had a great time. One of the great thing about AR is the friendship we can form. Who knows you might see me in New York in January.
Hope to meet you at Connect this time. Your daughter is beautiful.
I suppose a sister's wedding would be tough to miss, but at least he could follow the game on Twitter, right?
Missy - What a great time seeing you!!! I looked forward to it for so long - and I wasn't disappointed. Let me tell y'all, Missy has a wonderful family - all of them!!! Thank you for opening up your home to us - Yes - Princess19 thinks y'all are cool! And your husband made us laugh and laugh!!!
Thank you!!! So nice to see you!
Sounds like too much fun to me. What a great way to spend the day, I would have cancelled the wedding. lol~
Guess I better check out the skype thing. If you're on there, it must be good. Thanks for a great post and for reminding us all about the value of friendships here on AR, Twitter, Skype etc. It's really great to be surrounded by so many friends. Thanks Missy :-))
Missy, who ever said that ActiveRain friends weren't real friends? Nobody who's been here on ActiveRain for long enough, that's for sure. Glad to hear that you and Kim, et al., had a good time together.
Looks like you had lots of fun
Breakfast casseroles and sitting down to chat with a good friend? What a perfect day!
I'm so glad you all were able to get together like that.
Missy, I think it is wonderful that you and Kim have such a wonderful bond. Friends are priceless, for sure! My Kim (Kimberly Grant) and I live in the same town and have a hard time meeting. Pitiful, aren't we? Sounds like you had a great day together:)
I DO know where CF Flag is, by the way. I drive by it a few times a week, and never paid attention! For some reason I just happened to look over at the building last week and thought of you:)
Elizabeth, stop in sometime and say hello to Jon Houser, they live somewhere in Huntsville or right outside. Sometimes I think it is easier to get with people long distance than near.
Hi Missy, That's so cool that you got to see your apprentice, Kim and the family too. It sounds like you'all had a great time!
How really nice this all is!
Have a wonderful day!
Cindy
