I totally agree Pippa, to sell a house you need a few important things: paint, staging, great photos, de-clutter, location and, of course, a great Realtor. I love your before and after photos. I never get tired of looking at those!

Staging is everything!  It is amazing how much of a difference it makes.  I have seen identical condos sell for different prices just because of furniture which of course the seller takes with them!

It is so easy to visualize how the house SHOULD look with staging.  How much was the staging bill?  Did you make that much more or sell it that much faster?  This would make staging FREE.

I have seen some amazing things done with homes that were purchased in poor condition and then resold after a complete "make over."  I recently sold one that looked like a new home on the inside after extensive work had been done to fix it up.  The original investor did a great job in upgrading the home and the buyer loved it the moment he walked in.

I couldn't agree more -- get the personal clutter out, use a paint color that highlights the home but is appealing to "the masses", and take some great photos.  Congrats on your sale -- the kitchen and the office REALLY look great.

Great news that you sold it.  Flipping is not a bad thing, many lenders hava a bad concept of Flipping.  Congrats!!!!!

I like paint.  It's cheap and it makes everything look new and fresh.

Staging the property with accessories made all the difference. I can only imagine if the house had rental furniture how much of a difference that would have made. bottom line staging works!
