My on line legacy.... It is my hope that my words will inspire, assist others, and entertain. I am a positive person (well most of the time anyway) and I want my on line legacy to reflect a positive view of life. Since these little musings will be floating around cyberspace forever, I make sure that my children and their children will be able to read what I write with pride and joy.
I want to inspire others to be of service to others and to find reward in just the simple fact that you did it to help someone else. While to me this seems natural I know there are some, who were raised differently than I was, who can't see value without a $ sign attached. I have done many things in my life just to make someone else's life easier and there is much joy in this. I hope my joys and celebrations of my children's accomplishments and the events in their lives will inspire others to make time for their family and friends in the course of their days in this busy world. I hope I inspire others to take a chance at writing simply for the sense of accomplishment that comes from getting it out of your head and onto the monitor.
I want to assist others in finding their way to financial independence and into their first home and beyond. I want to promote the concept of buyer's agency to anyone who will listen and leave my mark on the real estate world in that way. I want to help my local community, county, and state to spread the word about how great it is to live and vacation here. I also have a personal need to assist those in trouble with issues that affect them personally. To offer my experience with a variety of business and personal triumphs and tragedies in hopes that others will gain strength and knowledge to get through their trials and to celebrate the good things in life.
I want to entertain my readers with tours of local and distant attractions. I want to bring upcoming local events to their attention in hopes that they will do something special each week rather than spending their time doing the same old thing every day. I want to share special joys and laughter with others.
I try to present my cup as half full and love that when the level starts to slip down a bit I have friends in the Rain and out that will help me to fill it back up. I hope that my positive energy will flow out of these blogs and into someone else's heart to bring them joy and a more positive outlook on life.
Finally my legacy is deeply rooted in my children who as those of you who read my blogs know are the center of my life. All things revolve around them and as they grow and move into the place in the world that they will occupy without my close presence I hope they will be able to look back on my on line commentary and not want to distance themselves from my name. I will not purposely offend or upset anyone although some may find my topics upsetting and my comments not to their liking I will never say anything that I would not want my children to read.
As you can see my legacy is a mixed bag of hopes and goals just as life is a mixed bag of hopes and goals. On Active Rain, I do not blog for points (although it is fun to watch them add up), I do not blog for business (although I enjoy it when my blogs inspire someone to contact me for real estate services), I do not blog for recognition (although I do enjoy comments of support and congratulations), No I blog for me. I hope that my blogs are read by others but the bottom line is they make my life more creative and interesting. So blog for you and create a legacy that you can be proud of too.
