By
Real Estate Agent with Charles Rutenberg Realty

Calling all Clearwater Sailboat and Powerboat Owners......

Island Estates is Clearwater Florida's premier waterfront homes and boating community. The reason it's so popular is that it's close to the open Gulf of Mexico waters and can accomodate large boats unlike much of Pinellas Counties shallow waters. Also, it's minutes from Clearwater Beach and close to the Tampa Bay Regional Airport.  island estates clearwater florida boat dock

Get a slip, which is a great way to enjoy Pinellas Boating. The Pinellas County boat ramps are great, but do not compare to having your own slip and quick access to boating. What a deal.

Thanks for visiting Suzy - I agree with you. Which boat ramps to you like best?

Hi...We use most of the pinellas boat ramps along the coast. The fort desoto boat ramp gets you out around some great islands, plus Egmont. The seminole street ramp provides the fast access to all of Clearwater Beach.

Suzy - we love Ft Desoto too. I just booked camping dates for Oct. and Nov. in the fall. Do you camp at all? I can't get over how easy and clean it is to camp there. It's great to have you visit again! Thanks and remember I've always got an empty beach chair waiting for you in my part of the cyber-world.

I'd like to invite you to see all my articles about the area at http://activerain.com/blogs/clearwaterhomes

If there's something you'd like to know more about just let me know - it's a work in process and a labor of love.

P.S. Have you ever tried the boat ramp next to the Recreation Center on North Clearwater Beach (down from the tennis courts?) - seems like it might be quicker on a day when you don't have to battle traffic to get to it. What do you think?

Have a great day!
