SCORE is a fabulous organization.  I've used them in the past and I highly recommend their services.

I have never heard of this, thank you for such good advise

I have been a SCORE counselor in Portland Oregon for 5 years now. I handle some of the real estate questions and only a couple have been from real estate agents. The last one was from a lady who wanted to start a transaction coordinator service. I'm sure she will be successful. I used to own restaurants and get a ton of requests for food service counseling. I even developed a food service workshop (next class April 21, 2007) for SCORE. SCORE is a free service. Easily the most requested advice people seek after they have been in business is related to marketing. "How do I get more people through the door?" A very important question. The quality of the advice you get is related to the skills of the volunteer that is available at the Chapter. SCORE is a fantastic business resource.

Thank you for sharing that Wayne - you provide such a valuable resource and I am humbled by the degree of knowledgeable and free flow sharing of information that my counselors provide and the skill sets they come from.  These men and women have many, many years of business experience thy bring to the table and are there to give back to the community that gave to them.
